Like the turret, another common theme in Garry's Mod is a hovership of some sort, and again is an easy concept made harder by the enforced simulation of physics.
Most hoverships do not have any moving parts hinged on them, unlike turrets, and are somewhat easier to build. However, since all hoverships are basically heavy chunks of metal floating using rockets, balancing them is usually a pretty complicated task, and controlling them once they're in the air is similarly hard.
I created a generic expression gate that helps keeps object balanced and flying by reading their rotation from a gyroscope, and continually applies adjustments to keep level.
Once you have a stable flying ship, you can then start piling on other things you've made, such as weapons, winches, cameras, etc.
